Oronzo Mazzotta
The essay traces the genesis of the workers’ Statute half a century after its issue and focuses on a comparison between the original discipline and the one resulting from the many changes introduced over the years. In the brief final reflections, the author questions the relevance of a legislation model that summarizes in a unitary corpus the basic rules of labour relations and the perspectives of labour law in a socio-economic context that is profoundly different from that which formed the background of the 1970 law.
